![]() ![]() Southern California International Airport Information Courtesy of HREDA Businesses locating at Southern California International Airport (SCIA), formerly George Air Force Base, can receive a significant tax break under California's Local Area Military Baase Recovery Act (LAMBRA) program. similar to enterprse zones, LAMBRAs were established to help offset the devastating financial impact of base closings in California communities. For businesses SCIA means tax credits and incentives that will reduce the cost of operation. Situated on 5,000 acres in the Victor Valley, SCIA is a multi-funtion facility with 1,400 acres available for industrial and commercial development and 2,300 acres available for aviation and other uses. The Business Park contains 200 buildings available for immediate occupancy, including 500,000 square feet of office space and 600,000 square feet of industrial/manufacturing space. The airport boasts the same FAA safety certification as LAX and Chicago's O'Hare aiport, with the added advantage of large open spaces on the desert. It is ideally suited for commerical and general aviation businesses and related industries.
