Demographic Projections...Forecast puts Victor Valley population at 442,000 by year 2000Contel of California increased its Victor Valley projection for the year 2000 by 10.5 percent, forecasting that 442,038 residents would reside inthe area within a decade. Silver Lakes is bracing for a 161 percent increase, from 5,265 to 13,766. Victorville will grow 136 percent to 119,805. Apple Valley will show a 77 percent increse to 98,835. Hesperia, Adelanto and Lucerne Valley will see a 62 percent jump in population. Hesperia's population will grow to 97,688.
